HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?
All therapy sessions are 50 mins.
WHERE IS THE STUDIO?
The Little Cabin is my private practise consulting room, which is located next to my home and looks like a mini version of The Cabin.

WHAT IF WE MEET OUTSIDE OF THERAPY?
This is something we would think about together, at the start of our work so that we are both prepared if we accidentally meet. While it wouldn’t be a time to stop and chat, a nod of hello, a smile or some such acknowledgement, are all fine, and equally fine is not wanting acknowledgement in a public place.
I LIVE FAR AWAY BUT STILL WANT TO COME FOR THERAPY, COULD I COME FOR A DOUBLE SESSION EVERY NOW AND THEN INSTEAD OF WEEKLY?
This can be a really creative and useful way to work for some who live at a distance or occasionally in the context of an on-going therapy to ‘workshop’ through particular issues. I am very open to thinking about whether this could be a useful option when considering your own unique needs.
IS THERE A WAITING ROOM AT THE STUDIO?
No, there is no waiting room available at The Studio.
All clients are asked to arrive punctually at the time of their scheduled session to ensure discretion and privacy.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENTS DOES SUZANNA MACKENZIE TAKE?
Invoices are sent out by email at the end of each month.
Payments can be made by: Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer or Online Payment.
DO YOU WORK WITH THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY?
My practice is very much a place for those seeking to understand and be understood with identifying as lesbian, gay, asexual, celibate, polyamorous, non-monogamous, and those on the trans and gender variant spectrum - trans women, trans men, non binary gender people, cross dresser/transvestites, genderqueer, androgynes, plus intersex people and those living with variant in sex development.
IS PUBLIC TRANSPORT POSSIBLE TO GET TO YOU?
Stroud train station is the nearest station and has a good taxi service or you can take the bus 61 from Stroud, which stops alongside Frithwood Playing Field which is about 5 minutes walk to the Little Cabin.
DO YOU HAVE A TOILET I CAN USE?
Yes, there is lavatory at the Little Cabin specifically for client use.
WHAT IF I'M RUNNING LATE, OR NEED TO CANCEL MY SESSION?
If you think you may be late or need to cancel your scheduled session, you can call Suzanna on 07970 420283 to let her know.
*Where necessary or appropriate, your session may be rescheduled for another time.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
There is no set timeframe for the duration of therapy. It is an on-going process, one which both Suzanna and the client with mutually agree to coming to an end.
CAN YOU HELP ME?
This is a frequent question in an initial contact in an enquiry. My response is likely to be along the lines of let’s make an initial consultation and find out together whether I can help you. It might be that more then one assessment is needed before deciding to go forward together or if you might be best served by another type of therapist.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING THERE?
Parking can be a bit problematic as it is both on a residential lane and opposite a busy children’s nursery where there can be a lot of vying for parking places. During the day times, the best parking is a lay-by alongside the allotments on the left or the next one along which is just before the nursery on the left. I ask you to please not park right outside my house as it is directly across from the nursery. Should you need to park close to the Little Cabin, we can make arrangements for you to back into my car park.
